The Goat Cottage. Formerly Sourwood Cottage.
Design | Imagine modern-rustic with a wink. Add a little boho and a vintage vibe and you've got the inspiration for this sweet two bedroom + two bath cottage re-model surrounding the fenced acreage which is home to The Hamlet Herd, twelve beloved goats tended to by the Hamlet neighborhood and a handful of dedicated volunteers.

Porch sittin' | This porch is one of the best in the Hamlet. It was extended many years ago to form an L-shape so plenty of room for quiet contemplation or a good visit with friends - ideally both. It overlooks the field where the Hamlet Heard tend to graze in the later afternoon. The barn is at the other end. Instructions for feeding the goats are provided in the cottage and on signage at the pasture.
Fun fact.
Goats have smaller mouths so need small bite sized pieces of carrot, celery, lettuce, watermelon without seeds or apple or they may choke. They especially love collard greens.
Generally goats will not eat food that has fallen to the ground. They are picky, browsing animals that prefer eating at eye level rather than grazing like sheep, making them naturally inclined to avoid food that has been soiled or dropped, which helps prevent ingestion of parasites.

The Lake Cove Cottage via Yonder Luxury Rental: a two bedroom-two bathroom cottage with fireplace and three covered porches. The porch below overlooks Highland Lake. This was my home prior to the purchase of Sourwood Cottage, now The Goat Cottage and is owned by friends of mine. The same style exists in both cottages and each provides both privacy, lots of natural light, and comfortable outside covered spaces. This grand porch below is only the beginning...
Lake Cove Cottage overlooks Highland Lake and The Goat Cottage overlooks the field were the Hamlet Herd live and graze throughout the day. Both cottages are just down the lane from one another - two blocks - so terrific for larger groups as they offer best of both worlds.
